Awaken the Dance Power Inside You! -- is an innovative workshop led by International West African dancer Malena Amusa and special guests. Open to all levels and professions, the class blends high-def traditional and contemporary movement and sound with an inspiring celebration of the spirit, rhythm, and life!



Spanning a vibrant range of human intelligence, the class invites special guest Stephanie Kusmer and fellow musicians to conduct live drumming and a tour inside the spiritual science of vibrations and artistic communication. 
Positive and encouraging, the class is designed to:

  • ·         Raise energy and divine consciousness and desire
Through focused dance lessons, exercises, and inspired discussion, we learn how to stylize movement and rhythm and transform our ideas into brilliant action.  Applying the techniques and art of African dance, we discipline our minds and release our bodies.

BIO:
At the age of 26, Malena Amusa is an international dancer, reporter and producer determined to inspire the success of every human being. A graduate of Columbia University and Northwestern University, Malena has led African dance troupes in America and Asia and performed with world-traveling companies in New York City and Senegal. She specializes in lively ensemble and solo choreography and synthesizes African dance with global dance movements and music. Her company AddLife! World, LLC designs and manages one-of-a kind events and media aimed at supporting creative economies.
